The running costs of the café have increased which has impacted the financial sustainability of the service. Moving the provision to the two community centres gives better value for money.

An urgent decision is required as the move from the site needs to take place by 1st October.

Reasons for the decision

Consideration was given to closing the café, however, this was deemed to be unacceptable due to the added value that the café provides for service users with Learning Disability in terms of vocational training and work experience opportunities.
