1.1. That the Director of Children’s
Services approves grants to the value of £186,875 from the
Wraparound Childcare Programme Fund.

1.2. It is recommended that £186,875 is allocated from the
Wraparound Childcare Fund to partner organisations who submitted
grant applications to provide wraparound childcare provision. These
applications have been assessed by the grant evaluation panel and
meet the funding criteria. This grant allocation will provide 211
funded wraparound places.

1.3 The successful applications will provide wraparound childcare
either side of the school day (8am – 6pm or equivalent),
Monday to Friday during term time for primary school-age children.
The provision will be offered by a combination of schools and
private, voluntary and independent (PVI) providers, including
childminders and early years settings, either on a school site or
at another setting in the local area.

1.4 The programme will deliver provision that is child centred,
easily accessible, inclusive and responds to the needs of families,
including children with special educational needs and disabilities
(SEND) as set out in the DfE guidance. The County Council will
support schools to ensure that providers have met minimum standards
and quality requirements.

1.5 All funding granted to third party organisations (including
schools, private voluntary, independent childcare providers) will
be supported by an agreement setting out the conditions of the
funding and the reporting requirements.
