Approval is sought for £19,716.53 funding to be made available to allow for £12,816.53 for 31 Crisis Payments to individual households in need and £6,900 to support 23 households where oil is the main source of heating and/or hot water and the households are on a low-income and struggling to afford to purchase heating oil (as outlined in the report). 2.In addition to the individual payments for crisis, approval is sought to award a contract to Citizens Advice, for £394,515 to continue delivering Crisis and Resilience Support until 30 September 2026 as set out in the Executive Lead Member Decision Day report that was approved on the 23 June 2026. Extending the existing arrangement will ensure the continued provision of advice, guidance and practical support to residents experiencing financial hardship and crisis, helping households to maximise income, manage debt, improve financial resilience and access wider support services. The contract award will maintain continuity of provision for vulnerable residents, build on the positive outcomes achieved to date, and avoid any disruption to support during a period of ongoing cost-of-living pressures. This interim arrangement will cover the tender period ahead of awarding the longer-term contract. 3.Approval is also sought within this report to allocate additional funding to four district and borough councils to enable the provision of further Crisis Payments, alongside their housing payment schemes, as part of the extended interim support offer through to 30 September 2026. This funding will support low-income households already engaging with housing support services to access additional crisis assistance. Approval is sought to allocate £75,800 across the four councils as outlined in the report.
