Decision

  1. Authority was given in January 2026 for the making of concurrent orders under Sections 26 and 118 of the Highways Act 1980 to create and extinguish public rights of way in the parishes of Fleet and Crookham Village.
    2. Subsequent to this authority being granted, it was established that the proposed bridleway would have created a legal cul-de-sac. The proposals have therefore been revised to ensure a viable legal connection to a suitable highway.
    3. The amendment on the attached map A now shows the creation of a footpath in Crookham Village from A to B (via D) and a footpath in Fleet from B to C in order to connect to the new bridleway.
    4. Fleet Footpaths 502, 503 and part of Footpath 6 will be upgraded to bridleway status, as shown in Plan B between points A, B, C, D, E and F.
