Decision

RESOLVED
that the most advantageous bid submitted by
Greenford Ltd. is accepted in the sum of £136,401
“subject to contract”. Contractor B is Greenford Ltd.
The contractor will be engaged using the JCLI Contracts –
Landscape Works Contract 2017 and the council’s standard
Schedule of Amendments.

Reasons for the decision

Undertake works in accordance
with the Building Harlow’s Future mission to ‘renew our
neighborhoods’ as this will allow the council to enhance an
environmental asset for the benefit of local residents and
community groups alike.

Alternative options considered

Do Nothing – By not undertaking the
work, the council would still be liable for the ongoing maintenance
of an allotment site that has not been utilized for some time. The
project will reinvigorate the site and provide the council an
opportunity to work with local residents and community groups for
its future use.
