Purpose

 Cabinet is recommended to:

Approve action to abandon the home care services procurement tender.

Approve the re-commencement of a competitive procurement process to secure an open framework for the supply of long-term home (domiciliary) care services for adults aged 18 and over, reablement support, and children and young adults with disabilities (CYAD) for period of up to 8 years.

Delegate authority to the Strategic Director of Adult Social Care & Public Health following consultation with Portfolio Holders for Adult Services & Public Health, Children’s Services and the Portfolio Holder for Finance and Highways to appoint providers to the framework following a competitive procurement process and to commence call-off contracts with suppliers during the framework term.

Delegate authority to the Strategic Director of Adult Social Care & Public Health following consultation with the Assistant Director of Procurement and Director of Legal Services to take any other decision associated with this procurement.
