Employment Committee

The Employment Committee is responsible for the appointment and dismissal of Chief Officers of the council.  In some cases, the committee may also asses and investigate a complaint against a chief officer of the council, acting on advice from the Monitoring Officer.   Employment Committee meetings are not usually open for the public to attend as many of the matters considered contain sensitive information.
