·       Cabinet notes the content of this report and the content of the Housing Enforcement Policy and Civil Penalties Policy

·       Cabinet endorses a proactive approach to implementing the Act — recognising both the enforcement obligations and the opportunity to strengthen regulation and housing standards as well as promoting and proactively informing tenants of their rights

·       Cabinet is recommended to approve the Housing Enforcement Policy and Civil Penalties Policy

·       Cabinet in consultation with the Portfolio Holder is recommended to support the proposal that delegated authority is given to the Housing Improvement and Compliance Manager for future updates relating to the Renters Rights Act 2025 implementation
