Decision

Cabinet is asked to recommend to Council that:

1. The Pre-Submission version of the Hastings Local Plan and the accompanying Sustainability Appraisal and Habitats Regulations Assessment is approved for publication for a six-week period for formal representations on matters of soundness and legal compliance.
2. Authority be delegated to the Director of Place, in consultation with the Lead Councillor for Planning, to make any necessary editorial changes, non-major amendments, formatting or presentational amendments necessary prior to publication.
3. It is noted that a further report will be brought to Council in December setting out a summary of the main issues raised following the pre-submission period for formal representations and seeking authority for submission of the Hastings Local Plan to the Secretary of State for independent examination
