Cabinet

The Cabinet is the executive decision-making body of Herefordshire Council, comprising a Leader, Deputy Leader, and eight other members, each responsible for specific programme areas such as Corporate Strategy, Culture, and Economy.

It directs the council's overall management and strategy, proposing policy frameworks, priorities, budgets, and Council Tax levels to the full Council. The Cabinet also provides guidance on policy implementation and management, and considers reports and proposals from its members on new initiatives and policy changes. Decisions made by the Cabinet or individual Cabinet Members can be significant, particularly those impacting the council's budget or the community.
