As a result of further design work associated with a Record of Officer Decision approved on 11th December 2024, to approve revised project costs and the use of an additional £66k of Highway Infrastructure Investment funding already allocated for Street Lighting and Traffic Signals to allow the following works to be undertaken:
a)
Aylestone Hill, City Link Road, Commercial Road, Stonebow Road and Union Walk

upgrade of the traffic signal equipment and controllers to link the traffic signal junctions and crossings where appropriate on Aylestone Hill, City Link Road, Commercial Road, Stonebow Road and Union Walk.
b)
Whitecross Road
-
introduction of a pedestrian phase at the junction of Whitecross Road/Eign Street on the A438 to the west of the city.
