To agree the terms of a licence with Network
Rail in order to allow the Council to make alterations to Network
Rail’s property by removing the company’s palisade
fence from its existing position and re-erecting it in a position
agreed with the Company’s Asset Protection Engineer. This
will allow the Council to widen construct and maintain a footway
and cycleway on the Company’s property known as Great Western
Way. The Licence will permit improvements to the existing footpath
and the necessary rights to enable the public to use the existing
footway and such part of those works as is designed for that
purpose. Works under the Licence are to be completed in 6
months.
