Purpose

The report seeks the approval of the
objectives that will inform the development of the new Local
Transport Plan (LTP) and assist in the identification of the
measures and initiatives in the implementation plan. In addition,
attention is brought to a revised timeline for the production and
adoption of the LTP following revised guidance from the Department
for Transport (DfT)

Decision

That:

a)   
Cabinet approves the objectives (as set out at para 19) for the new
Local Transport Plan as recommended in the report and
 
        b) Cabinet
notes changes to the DfT’s
anticipated timetable (as set out at paras.            9
and 10)for producing the new Local Transport Plan.
