Purpose

1. The land at Bringsty Common is owned by the
council who have been approached by the National Trust (the
grantee), who own a residential property situated on the common, to
grant an easement to permit connection to an improved mains water
supply
2. The terms agreed include a consideration based on market terms,
the grantee to obtain all necessary statutory consents, any damage
caused to be fully reinstated, the grantee to fully indemnify the
Council against any actions, damages, claims etc arising and the
payment of the Council’s fees in the matter.
3. The grant of the easement will be advertised in line with
statutory requirements for the disposal of legal interests in
commons/public open space.
