Purpose

The LDS is in essence, the project plan for
the preparation of planning documents.
The revised scheme (copy attached) has been prepared to
reflect:
•The need to update the scheme forward to 2023 timescale for
the Local Plan
•include revised progress on other development plan documents
and Supplementary Planning Documents;
•Inclusion of Herefordshire Design Codes and
•The progress made on Neighbourhood Development Plans in the
county.
The revised scheme includes the detail of the proposed target dates
for preparation of the following development plan documents:
•Herefordshire Local Plan Part 1- target adoption date mid
2025
•Herefordshire Local Plan Part 2 – target adoption date
early 2026
•Minerals and Waste Local Plan – target adoption date
late 2023
Although Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs) (which are
prepared to support the understanding of DPDs) are not required to
be included in the Local Development Scheme the intention to
prepare various SPDs is referenced in the Local Development
Scheme.
