Purpose

1.1 This report sets out the fully revised Substance Misuse Policy which has been reviewed as part of the Council’s rolling HR policy review programme.

The purpose is to ensure that all employment-related policies remain up to date, legally compliant, and aligned with best practice, organisational needs, and the Council’s objectives and values.

RECOMMENDATION:

That the Personnel Committee approve the Substance Misuse Policy as set out in Appendix A, subject to staff consultation.
