Purpose

To update members of the committee regarding a proposal by the department for transport (DfT) currently under consultation, in respect to moving               “taxi” licensing functions away from district councils.

Decision

That the Committee consider the response to the consultation attached at Appendix 1 and, subject to any amendments agreed by it, approve for it to be submitted in response to the Department for Transport (DfT).
