RESOLVED
 
i)              
That the award of the Parking Enforcement Agents contracts to the
companies named in Appendix A and on the terms contained in that
Appendix be approved; and

 
ii)             
To delegate authority to the Director of Resources in consultation
with the Head of Legal and Democratic Services to finalise the
terms and conditions of and enter into the contracts (including any
applicable extension periods, subject to budgetary
requirements).
 
REASON
 
To facilitate the award of the Parking
Enforcement Agents contracts to the relevant bidders.
 
ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS CONSIDERED BUT REJECTED AS
IDENTIFIED IN THE REPORT
 
We could continue this service under rolling
SLAs; however, this would prevent us from testing the market,
exploring potential advancements in debt collection methods since
our last tender, and taking the opportunity to increase revenue for
the Council.
