To approve the award of the contract for the
Squiz DXP Content Management System
(CMS) over the NHS Shared Business Services Framework, for a fixed
3-year contract term plus 1-year optional extension.
 
To delegate authority to the Director of
Resources in consultation with the Head of Legal & Democratic
Services to finalise the terms and conditions of and enter into the
required contract with the supplier on the terms contained in the
exempt appendix.

Reasons for the decision

The current contract for the Squiz DXP CMS is due for renewal.
 
Under the Procurement Code, which forms part
of the Council’s Constitution, all budgeted contract awards
between £100,000 and up to £500,000 need to be approved
by the relevant Cabinet Member.

Alternative options considered

An 18-month contract was
considered to allow for full market engagement, but due to a
12-month lead time to change suppliers this was rejected as there
is likely to be another change in quick succession for any new
unitary authority should it go ahead as expected.
