To write to the Planning Inspectorate
requesting that they reconsider the Inspector’s Initial
Findings Letter.

Reasons for the decision

To reflect the wishes expressed
by Members at the Communities and Place Policy and Scrutiny meeting
on 23rd July 2025, and particularly in light of the changing
planning regulations that will repeal the Duty to
Co-operate.

Alternative options considered

The alternative would be to not
write to the Planning Inspectorate. However, this course of action
has been rejected as it would not reflect the wishes expressed by
members. It also ensures that all avenues to progress the local
plan have been explored prior to any final decision made to
withdraw the plan from examination.
