RESOLVED
 
i)              
That the Capitol refurbishment project as set out in this report be
agreed;

 
ii)             
That authority to the Director of Communities in consultation with
the Cabinet Member for Wellbeing, Culture and Green Spaces and the
Director of Resources, be delegated, to agree any further changes
to the project as may be required provided that such changes are
non-material and fall within the agreed budget envelope of
£10.2m;
 
iii)            
That the award of contracts (required to facilitate the recommended
refurbishment) to the winning suppliers (i) named on existing framework agreements and/or
(ii) following a procurement exercise be approved;
 
iv)            
That authority to either the Director of Communities or the Head of
Legal and Democratic Services, in consultation with the Cabinet
Member for Wellbeing, Culture and Green Spaces, be delegated, to
finalise the terms of, and approve the entering into of, the required contracts and any other
documentation required to give effect to the refurbishment.
 
REASONS
 
To make changes to
the project and to enable non-material changes to be made to the
project if required.
 
To ensure that
Cabinet is fully briefed on the cost, scope and timescales for the
delivery of the project.
 
ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS
CONSIDERED BUT REJECTED AS IDENTIFIED IN THE REPORT
 
None. The
installation of Air Source Heat Pumps which formed part of the
original refurbishment proposal is no longer a viable option for
the reasons outlined in section 12 of the report.
