Reasons for the decision
The

for and run a successful procurement process that will award the
new leisure contract for the district in 2027 and deliver on the
vision to pivot the leisure offer to a wider active wellbeing
market.
The
cost of the contract is less than £100,000.
Alternative options considered
Alternatives considered included:
Not
to appoint a consultant;
To
complete the work with internal resources; or
To
repeat the RFQ process.
All options were rejected
on the basis of the high-quality
submission that was received, the strategic importance of the work
and the lack of capacity within internal resources to complete the
work to the required timescales.
