Approval to award the Hills
Cemetery roadway contract (‘’the
contract’’) to the highest scoring bidder, as detailed
in Appendix 1 (exempt).

 
To delegate authority to the
Director of Communities in consultation with the Head of Legal
& Democratic Services to finalise the terms and conditions of
and to enter into the Contract with the highest scoring
bidder.

Reasons for the decision

To award the Contract to the
winning bidder in order to facilitate the extension of the Hills
Cemetery extension roadway.

Alternative options considered

Not to award the contract to
extend the cemetery but this would mean that burials would not be
able to continue to take place at Hills Cemetery.
