Decision

To adopt the Community Infrastructure Levy Enforcement Policy (‘CIL Enforcement Policy’) as contained in the appendix to the report.

Reasons for the decision

The Council’s current CIL Enforcement Policy requires an update to incorporate recent legislation, clarify surcharges and penalties for both late payments and other non-compliance, and to ensure consistency with the planning enforcement plan. Other amendments have also been made.

Alternative options considered

The option of not updating the CIL Enforcement Policy was considered. This was rejected for the reasons outlined above.
