RESOLVED
 
i)              
The award of the contract to Company A (exempt Appendix 1), as the
preferred supplier of plastic wheeled bins for the next 4 years be
approved.

 
ii)             
That authority to the Director of Communities in consultation with
the Head of Legal & Democratic Services be delegated to
finalise the terms and conditions of and enter into the contract
for the supply of plastic wheeled bins.
 
REASON
 
i)              
The procurement exercise determined a preferential unit cost for
each bin, with the option to purchase replacement parts as
required.

 
ii)             
The evaluation exercise favoured Company A on based on price of
products.
 
ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS CONSIDERED BUT REJECTED AS
IDENTIFIED IN THE REPORT
 
None. Under the Environmental Protection Act
1990 we are required to specify the type and size of receptacles we
will collect. We are required to provide the facility for residents
to buy these specified receptacles from the council that meet our
specification. [Section 46 of Environmental Protection Act 1990 sub
section 1, 3 and 11]
