Cabinet noted the summary of responses to consultation and the
equalities impact assessment submitted at appendices A and B of the
Cabinet report.

Cabinet agreed to recommend to Borough Council that it should adopt
the revised Council Tax Support Scheme submitted at Appendix C of
the Cabinet report, the key components of which were set out in
more detail in paragraph 5, subject to any minor drafting the
amendments which the Executive Director may consider it prudent and
appropriate to make.

Cabinet agreed to recommend to Borough Council that it should adopt
a transitional hardship fund, substantially in the form submitted
at Appendix D of the Cabinet report, that £1.5m should be set
aside for that purpose and that it should delegate to the Executive
Director of Finance and Resources the authority to finalise the
detail and implementation of that policy.
