The report was presented by Andrew Cox, Executive Director of Strategy and Transformation, who drew members’ attention to the salient points and responded to questions. 

After full discussion members voted to approve the recommendations.

 Resolved:

That Audit and Governance Committee agreed to recommend to Borough Council that it:

1. Approved the revised Planning Committee Terms of Reference at Appendix 1.  This was a unanimous decision.
2. Approved the revised Council Procedure Rules at Appendix 2.  This was a majority vote of four members voting for approval, two against.
3. Approved the revised Committee Procedure Rules at Appendix 3.  This was a majority vote of four members voting for approval, two against.
4. Appointed the Chair of Planning Committee as the Council’s Nominated Member under the new Planning Regulations, with the Vice-Chair acting where the Chair is absent or otherwise unable to act. This was a majority vote of four members voting for approval, two abstaining.
