Decision

·       Cabinet approved the strategic direction set out in the Pathway to Net Zero Delivery Plan (Appendix A of the submitted report) that will enable the Council to achieve the 50% carbon emissions reduction by 2026 as set out in the Corporate Plan and as a result reducing its impact on the climate emergency. Cabinet recognised and noted the risks and challenges to achieving the Corporate Plan target.

·       Cabinet committed to exploring alternative sources of finance that could be secured to deliver projects enabling the council to achieve the 50% emissions reduction target by 2026.
