Cabinet approved the strategic direction set out in
the Pathway to Net Zero Delivery Plan (Appendix A of the submitted
report) that will enable the Council to achieve the 50% carbon
emissions reduction by 2026 as set out in the Corporate Plan and as
a result reducing its impact on the climate emergency. Cabinet
recognised and noted the risks and challenges to achieving the
Corporate Plan target.

Cabinet committed to exploring alternative sources
of finance that could be secured to deliver projects enabling the
council to achieve the 50% emissions reduction target by
2026.
