Cabinet adopted the 2023-25 Reduction and Recycling
Plan (“the 2023 RRP” – see Appendix A and section
3.5-3.8 of the submitted report); and noted Appendix B of the
submitted report, which provided an update on the progress made to
date in delivering the 2018 Reduction and Recycling Plan
(“the 2018 RRP” – section 3.3-3.4 of the
submitted report).

Cabinet noted that the “2023 RRP” may
require updating, as the Resource and Waste Strategy reforms
emerges, and timelines and funding are confirmed (Appendix C and
section 3.9-3.10 of the submitted report).
3.   
Cabinet delegated authority to the Executive
Director for Environment, Culture and Customer Services, in
consultation with the Lead Member for Environment, Highways and
Operational Services and Section 151 Officer to:

a)   
agree specific timelines for activity implementation
of the individual actions and projects set out in the 2023 RRP;
and

b)   
identify budget for activities taking into account
the availability of resources including central government
‘new burden’ money.
