About

The Overview and Scrutiny Panel (Environment, Communities and Partnerships) is made up of 12 non-Cabinet councillors who review the performance of the Leader and Cabinet and examine council services and policies across the district. The panel makes recommendations for improvements.

Any three councillors on the panel can challenge a Cabinet or Portfolio Holder decision within five working days of its publication. This scrutiny function helps to hold the executive to account and improve council services.
