About
The Executive is responsible for making most of the council's day-to-day decisions. It is made up of the Leader, a Deputy Leader, and up to eight other councillors. Key decisions are published in advance and are usually discussed in public meetings, unless confidential matters are involved. The Executive must ensure its decisions align with the council's overall policies and budget framework; any decisions outside this framework must be referred to the full Council.
