Full council record

Purpose

The Parks & Cemeteries Team undertake both
hard and soft landscaping using mobile plant across all aspects of
the service.

Due to the existing mini-digger coming to the
end of its working life a procurement exercise was undertaken to
trade in and replace the existing mini-digger and purchase a second
mini digger with trailer.

An open procurement was undertaken and the
Council received four bids, with two not meeting the required
specification.

Following a review of the bids, it was
concluded that the best value for money was to accept a submission
Mervyn Lambert Plant Ltd for the value of £34,940.00 (excl.
VAT). This will be funded from an existing
Capital Budget.

Decision

To award the contract to Mervyn Lambert Plant
Ltd.
