Purpose

On 8 February 2022, Executive authorised
funding for a new five year £3.5m investment programme in
 play areas (including additional
funding from Section 106 planning agreements).
 
On 8 March 2022, Executive adopted the Play
Area Strategy 2022 - 2027 and Play Area Action (Investment) Plan
2022 - 2027 and that the Parks and Cemeteries Operations Manager be
authorised to take all necessary steps to deliver the improvement
works necessary and replace the play areas identified.
 
Murray Road Recreation Ground is a Play Area
is identified as a site to be replaced in as part of this
programme.

Decision

To award the contract to Kompan Ltd for the
supply of play equipment and associated safety surfacing.
 
Reason:
To improve the play area in accordance with
the Play Area Strategy 2022.
