Purpose

A serious allegation has been received by the
Council against a combined hackney carriage/private hire driver.
The allegations mean that the driver is not
able to meet the criteria to hold a licence within the
Council's Private Hire and Hackney Carriage Policy therefore the
driver’s combined licence was revoked.
 
No alternative options were considered.
 
The Chair of Licensing and Regulatory
Committee was consulted

Decision

To immediately revoke a combined hackney
carriage/private hire driver’s licence.
 
Reason:
Following a serious allegation, the driver is
not able to meet the criteria to hold a licence within the
Council's Private Hire and Hackney Carriage Policy.
