Purpose

The Council is subject to local
government reorganisation and as a result the Council will need to
take decisions in relation to Council buildings and assets and the
delivery of Council services.
 
The Council will need to enter
into agreements, procure goods and services to enable the delivery
of local government reorganisation.
 
In some cases, these matters
will constitute key decisions. These decisions may be taken
either by a Senior Officer, Portfolio Holder or Executive as
necessary.
 

Decision

That the Portfolio
Holder for Strategy & Transformation:
 
Authorises the Chief
Executive to proceed as per the recommendations set out in Exempt
Appendix A.
 
These recommendations relate to the
appointment of an Employment Law Partner and are exempt from
publication by virtue of paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of
the Local Government Act 1972.
 
Reason: The reason for the decision is
set out in Exempt Appendix A.
