OD/23/05 Princes Street Car Park Lighting Installation
May 22, 2023 Officer Decision (Officer) Approved View on council websiteFull council record
Purpose
The Council owns and operates a public car
park on Princes Street, Ipswich. This car park operates with a
temporary planning permission. A condition attached to the most
recent renewal of this permission requires the provision of
lighting on the car park.
Most lighting on the Council’s surface car parks is maintained on the
Council’s behalf by Suffolk County
Council. As such, it has been decided to accept a quotation of
£12,512 from the County Council for the cost of providing 2
new lighting units for Princes Street Car Park, including
underground cabling and
connection to the mains electricity supply as
this will ensure that the make, model and configuration of the
lighting units is of a type that is acceptable to the County
Council to maintain.
