Purpose

The competition pool at Crown Pools requires
supply and installation of new chemical dosing system which would
negate the requirement to bulk supply sodium hypochlorite to the
facility by an external contractor.
 
The electro chlorination system generates its
own sodium hypochlorite on site though new technology which would
reduce the Council??s carbon footprint and
make a cost saving.
 
An open tender procurement process was issued
through the Suffolk e-sourcing system looking for an electro
chlorination system.
 
Three tenders were received and evaluated on
Quality and Price. The tenders were evaluated internally by the IBC
Swimming Service Manager & Pool Engineering Team.
 
The evaluation selected Prodose Limited as the winning tender for the value
of £25,200.00 (excl. VAT).
 
The works will be funded from existing Sports
capital programme budgets.

Decision

To award the contract to Prodose Limited.
 
Reason:
To enable the work to be undertaken to supply
& install an electro chlorination system.
