Purpose

The Sport & Leisure Service provide indoor
cycling opportunities within the available opportunities through
fitness-based classes. The existing indoor cycling bikes at Whitton
Sports Centre are past their life expectancy and need to be
replaced to continue to provide indoor cycling provision.
 
Following an invitation to quotation
procurement process, using Suffolk e-sourcing, three quotations
were received to supply 20 indoor cycling bikes. The quotations
were assessed and evaluated by Officers and a decision was made to
award the contract to Johnson Health Ltd.

Decision

To award the contract to Johnson Health Ltd at
a value of £21,265.00.
 
Reason:
To ensure opportunities to participate in
indoor cycling remains part of the provision offered at Whitton
Sports Centre, aiming to achieve a positive and safe experience for
members of the public.
