Purpose

Parks and Cemeteries Service required a
replacement ride on mower for grass cutting across the four
cemeteries due to the previous lease expiring and the ride on mower
reaching the end of its working life.
 
A competitive tender exercise was undertaken
with colleagues Procurement and four bids were received for the
supply of a ride on mower with 48-inch rear discharge cutting
deck.
 
The bids were assessed and evaluated by the
Cemeteries Team and the decision was made to award the contract to
Tomlinson Groundcare Ltd for the supply of a John Deere X948 ride
on mower with 48-inch rear discharge cutting deck.
 
To support the care of this ride on mower a
three-year service package is being included as part of the
award.
