Purpose

There has been a loan request for two objects
for the temporary exhibition, Wolsey 550, which forms part of the
National Heritage Lottery Funded town wide project. The exhibition
will explore Thomas Wolsey’s character, achievements and how
he is remembered.
 
The items requested from Ipswich Museum will
form part of a section about how Thomas Wolsey has been depicted
and remembered after his death – in particular the Wolsey
pageant in Ipswich in 1930.
 
These items are currently in store.
The exhibition dates are 14th July –
29th October 2023

Decision

To loan the objects to the Wolsey 550
exhibition.
 
Reason:
The inclusion of these objects allows a
continued positive working relationship with Suffolk Archives and
supports the Wolsey 550 project.
