Purpose

This report outlines the options for procurement of
Road Fuel for the Council’s vehicle fleet.

Decision

i) To authorise the Head of
Waste and Fleet, in consultation with the Head of Procurement, Head
of Finance and Head of Legal, to progress with the procurement of
road fuel through compliant national frameworks.

ii)
Subject to i), to authorise the Head of
Waste and Fleet, in consultation with the Head of Procurement ,the Head of Finance and the Head of
Legal, to award contracts for the supply of road fuel subject
to:

a)            
Procurement being undertaken via a compliant
public procurement framework;
b)            
There being sufficient in the budget allocated
for the value of each contract award;
c)            
Contracts only being awarded for the period
stated which ends in September 2027.
 
Reasons:
 
(i)
To allow the Council to assess bids and evaluate the most
economically advantageous tender.

(ii) To award the contract as
necessary to the successful bidder.
