About

The Schools Forum is a consultative and decision-making body for Isle of Wight schools. It advises on changes to the local funding formula, minimum funding guarantees, school contracts, and provisions for pupils with special educational needs, in pupil referral units, and in early years. The forum also makes decisions regarding the allocation of funding within the Dedicated Schools Grant for specific services, the carry-forward of central spending deficits, proposals to de-delegate funding from primary and secondary schools, and changes to the financial management scheme.
