Employment and Appointments Committee

The Employment and Appointments Committee meets when required.  It is responsible for the recruitment and appointment of Corporate Directors and Service Directors and makes recommendations to Council on the appointment of the Head of Paid Service (Chief Executive), the Monitoring Officer, the Chief Finance Officer and independent members.  The committee also hears and determines appeals in connection with disciplinary action or dismissal of Corporate Directors (except the Head of Paid Service, S151 Officer and Monitoring Officer).
