About

The Full Council is where all 50 elected councillors meet at least eight times a year to discuss important local issues. Chaired by the Mayor, it debates policy and makes key decisions, including setting the Council Budget and Council Tax, approving Planning and Licensing policies, and amending the Council's Constitution. It also elects the Mayor, appoints the Leader of the Council, and makes appointments to committees and external bodies. Meetings are open to the public and residents can register to speak.
