Purpose

This covers the first decision
point in relation to the procurement and appointment of a
contractor to install Communal and Emergency Lighting to addresses
located in Henry Dickens, Gordon/Ingelow, Silchester, Wandon Road,
and Blenheim/Hudson estates.

Strategy Stage – The decision to commence the
procurement activity which will allow the tender documents to be
published.
 

Decision

The
Executive Director AREED to:
(i)            
Approve the sourcing strategy for the procurement to replace and
upgrade existing emergency and communal lighting to seven Council
Housing blocks as listed in Appendix A (Ref 540). The forecast
value of the works is £400,000 exclusive of VAT based on a
delivery programme of 16 weeks.
(ii)           
Approve the contingency recommended for this project which is set
out within exempt (Part B) appendix.
