Purpose
We are seeking the approval of the new Damp and
Mould Policy. The policy sets out our
approach to dealing with damp and mould
within residents’ homes. It has been written in line with
relevant policy and legislation (such as
Awaab’s Law) as well as taking on
recommendations from the 2021 Ombudsman spotlight report on damp
and mould.
Decision
The
Lead Member has AGREED to:
Approve the Housing
Management Damp and Mould Policy and authorise its
implementation.
Delegate authority to the
Executive Director of Housing and Social Investment and Director of
Housing Management to approve minor changes to this policy.
