Purpose

This is the contract award
stage for the re-procurement of this project via an open
competitive tendering process with contract award from 1 April 2026
to ensure continuity of services. Contract length reflects Public Health
intentions to align individual Champions contracts with financial
years and other contracts within the Champions
programme.

Decision

Bi-Borough Executive Director of Adult Social Care and Public
Health, following endorsement by Commercial Assurance Panel,

 

1.   
Approved the award of the contract for the provision of a Golborne
Community Champions project to Volunteer Centre Kensington &
Chelsea for three years with an optional extension of two years;
for a total contract value of £204,000.00 excl. VAT for the
period starting from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029, with the option
to extend for an additional period of two years at an additional
cost of £136,000 excl. VAT with a full fixed contract value
of £340,000 excl. VAT.

 

2.   
Approved the award of the contract for the provision
of a Notting Dale Community Champions project to Volunteer Centre
Kensington & Chelsea for three years with an optional extension
of two years; for a total contract value of £204,000.00 excl.
VAT for the period starting from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029,
with the option to extend for an additional period of two years at
an additional cost of £136,000 excl. VAT with a full fixed
contract value of £340,000 excl. VAT.
 

 

3.   
Delegated authority to the Director of Public Health
to implement the optional two-year extensions and ad-hoc
inflationary uplifts in contract price if required up to a limit
provided for in the Contract Regulations and the Procurement Act
2023.
