Purpose

This report covers two separate
decision points in relation to the procurement sourcing strategy
and appointment of a contractor to carry out the refurbishment
works for the North Kensington Resource Centre on the Lancaster
West Estate (Ref

1.    
will allow the tender documents to be
published, and;
 
Award Stage – The
decision to award and sign the contract.
 

Decision

The
Executive Director has AGREED to:

Approve the award of the
contract for the refurbishment of the North Kensington Resource
Centre to M&J Construction Ltd for a period of 12 Weeks, at a
total contract value of £519,973.47 excluding VAT
(£623,968.16 including VAT).
Delegate authority to the
to approve the use of a project contingency sum in line with
Housing Management Scheme of Delegations as outlined in exempt
Appendix B (Point 2) of this report.  If
it is not utilised it would remain with the LWE HRA Capital
Programme Budget.
