Purpose

To
approve the Procurement Strategy and award a contract to appoint a
contractor for refurbishment works at  Morland House and
Talbot Grove House Lancaster West Estate. TheStrategy will be based on a
two-stage procurement process: Stage 1 Pre-Construction Services
Agreement (PCSA) and Stage 2 Construction
Delivery.

Decision

Lead Member for Housing Management, Housing Safety &
Building New Home – APPROVED the tendering of a Parts 1
and 2 tendering process outlined in this report, which has been
endorsed by the Housing Management Procurement Board, (please see
exempt Appendix 2 HMPB terms of reference) to carry out improvement
works to 79 homes at Morland House and Talbot Grove House (79 homes
in total) for a Contract with an estimated cost plan as set out
within Appendix 1 Part B of this report. Although the procurement
is for both stages, the initial JCT contract will only be signed
for the service part 1 contract. The second stage works contract
will require a further KDR report once the final design and costs
(within budget) are agreed before any contract is agreed and
signed.
