To approve the procurement strategy to appoint a contractor for refurbishment works.

Decision

Lead Member for Housing Management, Housing Safety, and Building New Homes APPROVED the tendering of a Parts 1 and 2 tendering process outlined in this report, which has been endorsed by the Housing Management Procurement Board, (please see exempt Appendix 2 HMPB terms of reference) outlined in this report, to carry out improvement works to council housing on Lancaster West Estate at Barandon, Testerton and Hurstway Walks. The estimated cost plan is set out within Part B of this report. Although the procurement is for both stages, the initial JCT contract will only be signed for the service part 1 contract. The second stage works contract will require a further KDR report once the final design and costs (within budget) are agreed before any contract is agreed and signed.
